ABOUT JENNA YANDLE
Food & product photographer, cat mom and watercolor painting enthusiast.
From blogging about lipsticks to shooting in restaurants and working with national brands, my career has taken many twists and turns.
My photography journey began with a beauty and lifestyle blog I created in 2014.
I dove head first into making it a success, but along the way I discovered I was much more passionate about photography than the actual blogging itself. Eventually the blog fell by the wayside, but my desire to keep pressing the shutter button stayed.
That’s how AM Knizek Photo was born.
At AM Knizek Photo, I collaborate with specialty food and beverage brands to create on-brand photos that make a lasting impact.
My goal is to provide you with high-quality images that will help your brand stand out from the competition (it’s a hard task, I know).
I’m local to Albany, New York, but as long as you can ship your products, I can work with you wherever in the world your business is located. I’m also available for travel.
Q& A
Q: What are you currently Listening to on Spotify?
A: I listen to very diverse range of podcasts and music, but Good Hang with Amy Poehler is a recent favorite for podcasts. If I need some music I'm turning to Taylor Swift, Kings of Leon, or Hozier
Q: What is a favorite class, workshop, seminar, book or tool that you love telling others to check out?
A: Anything from Joanie at The Bite Shot. She's an incredible educator and the kindest human. Her Artificial Academy course was a game changer for me.
Q: What is achievement you are particularly proud of?
A: I am completely self taught and have worked with brands such as Death Wish Coffee, BonBon and Danish Creamery to produce shoots from start to finish, delivering final images the brands have loved!
Q: Tell us about your work, your passion for photography, and what inspires you to continue to create?
A: I work with specialty food and beverage brands to create visual assets that aren't just beautiful, but also a marketing tool to drive sales and authentic connection with their customers. I worked in marketing for 6 years and use this knowledge to work closely with my clients as more of an additional team member rather than just another photographer. When possible, I love to guide the creative and art direction and make ideas come to life that the client never even thought were possible.
Q: Who do you follow / admire for ideas and inspiration?
A: Kayla Enright is an incredible hospitality photographer and everything Gentl and Hyers does is just beyond perfection
Q: What is one goal you have for yourself in the next year?
A: I've always been bad at making decisions so I'll give you two goals - expand into more hospitality work and shoot a cookbook!
