What is the Role of a City Ambassador?

As a Focus on Women City Ambassador, you will:

  • Represent Focus on Women in your city for one year.

  • Organize and host four (4) in-person or virtual events throughout the year to foster community and promote Focus on Women’s mission.

  • Act as a connector and advocate within your local creative community.

  • Help increase awareness of our organization and encourage membership sign-ups.

  • Collaborate with our team to brainstorm event ideas and tap into your city’s unique creative scene.

  • Posting quarterly local events to Mighty Networks and FOW Newsletters

The Focus on Women City Ambassador Program empowers creative leaders across cities to build a stronger community for women and female-identifying creatives in
the commercial photography and production spaces. Ambassadors are local advocates who share our mission, foster meaningful connections, and create
spaces where all creatives thrive.
We are looking to appoint two city ambassadors per city.

  • Members who are just starting out in the industry or experiencing financial adversity, may be hindered by entry fees associated with professional workshops, networking events, or other beneficial career building opportunities such as paid portfolios reviews. Scholarship funds allow the FOW Board to assist these members with the costs of inclusion in FOW events.  Scholarship funding is received and distributed on a rolling basis dependent upon need and availability. Applications are reviewed and funds granted by the Board. The availability and parameters of scholarships will be promoted through the website as they become available.

  • If you would like to make an unrestricted gift to help us grow and expand our mission to empower female and female identifying creatives in the commercial photography and production space, we thank you! You can make a gift of any amount, and it will be used where it is most needed.

***Focus on Women is a volunteer run Limited Liability Corporation. Though the tax code won’t allow us to provide donation receipts, you may be able to write your contribution off as a marketing expense. In all cases, your donation will be used to support Focus on Women’s mission.
